Child therapy addresses issues such as separation anxiety, school avoidance, trauma, peer conflict, self-esteem building, sibling dynamics, negative self talk, big life transitions, neurodivergence and more.
I use play-based interventions as well as creative and expressive arts techniques to help parents and children make sense of their experiences, feel regulated, and increase connection and attunement. I also use child-led play, story telling, and sensory activities to help children cope with trauma, difficult emotions and building a positive and empowered self-identity.

The adolescent years can be difficult for parents and teens alike. I can provide a safe and confidential place where teens feel listened to, understood, validated and respected. I help my teen clients figure out what's important to them and provide support around achieving their goals when they need it.
Some common issues we address in therapy are: overwhelm, school problems, sadness, anxiety, panic, relationship problems, parent conflict, isolation and loneliness, self-harm and suicidal ideation.

Family therapy can be useful in bringing attention to unhelpful communication patterns and resolving conflicts. It can also be a supportive space for processing big life transitions such as death, moving, separation, and can help each member feel heard and understood.
Family therapy can be used by young families with children and teens, as well as adult families who no longer live in the same home. All types of families are welcome in my practice.

Parent support sessions can be a standalone service or be used in conjunction with child/teen and family therapy.
Parent coaching sessions involve meeting without the child to discuss parenting concerns such as behavioral problems, child development, supporting neurodivergence, managing sibling relationships, how to help your child through meltdowns/blowups and more. These sessions are also an opportunity for parents to ask "Is this normal?" and "What do I do when...?"
In parent coaching sessions, I'll provide insight and help you decipher what your child's behavior might be communicating to you. I can offer new ways of thinking about and interacting with your child and also offer referrals for other services when appropriate (evaluations, occupational or speech therapy, etc.).
